GLASSES SIZES

Sunglasses, eyeglasses, what do the numbers inside the temples mean?

We usually find a series of numbers similar to these: 50 - 21 - 145

  1. The first number (in our example it is 50) indicates the width of the lens: the horizontal diameter of the lens at its widest point. It is also called the caliber.
  2. The second number (in our example it is 21) indicates the width of the bridge: the bridge is the part of the frame that rests on the nose and connects the two lenses. Standard sizes vary from 14mm in children up to approximately 24mm in adults with large faces.
  3. The third number (in our example it is 145) indicates the length of the temple, which holds the glasses firmly on the face by resting on the ears. Standard temple sizes range from 135 to 145 millimeters.

EYEGLASSES SIZE GUIDE

To find the right size of the glasses you want to buy, you can rely on this quick and intuitive guide. Each size of the face corresponds to the respective measurements relating to the width of the lens.

When ordering, in the product sheet of an item, you just need to check the “MEASURES” item and compare whether the numerical value indicated is compatible with the shape of your face. The “MEASURE” item corresponds to the CALIBER (simply the width of the lens), a technical value that measures the horizontal diameter of the lens at its widest point. Easy, right!?

Once you know your perfect measurements, visit our sunglasses section and shop with peace of mind.

*The measurements refer to a standard credit card measuring 85.60 mm X 53.98 mm
