It all began after the war with Ettore Barberis, a technician specialized in optical instrumentation in the famous San Giorgio di Sestri Ponente.

He opened the shop in Via Ciro Menotti 19r and ran it successfully until 1958 when his daughter Amina took over with her son-in-law Ernesto Giraudo, a former Torino footballer who had become a master optometrist.

The entry of her daughter Carla in the early 70s and subsequently of her granddaughters Alessandra and Arianna, determined the expansion of the historic headquarters with the inclusion of cutting-edge Rodenstock instruments as well as a careful search for the best vision through the most innovative lenses of the moment.
